Firefox 3 Released June 17
The brilliant developers over at Mozilla are done with all the testing and are ready to release the new version of Firefox. I’ve been testing it since early beta and it’s an amazing browser with noticeably less memory usage and increased speed, some great customizable “smart bookmarking” features that automatically generate bookmark lists (similar to an iTunes auto playlist), great add-ons as always (although not all are Firefox 3 ready as of yet), and a number of other improved features (see the below link to the field guide for more).
Mozilla is trying to set a world record for the number of downloads within a day so help them out by downloading the new Firefox tomorrow, June 17 on its official release date.
There are a great host of features available with Firefox, and the new release has a few new idiosyncrasies, so check out the Field Guide to Firefox 3 for a good overview of the browser.
